Navigating the road to recovery – Lackford Lakes

November 27, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

A five session programme designed to give information and support to those caring with someone affected by Substance Misuse.

Working across Suffolk in partnership with Turning Point, we run this five session programme for people caring for a person affected by substance misuse, including alcohol.

The structured programme focuses on: Drug and alcohol use and effects, family carers wellbeing, recovery and support, communication, exploring ways to cope, building peer support

Quotes from family carers have included:

I have really enjoyed these sessions. The information and advice has really helped me to look after me and hopefully put boundaries into place and be strong to carry them out.

This programme has empowered me by providing invaluable information, tool and techniques delivered in a sympathetic, supportive and positive environment. It was great help to have the opportunity to interact with others suffering similar problems in a non-judgmental arena

A sense of comradery with other carers learning together. Being given the tools to make changes or to allow change.

This 5 session programme will take place on the following dates 27th November 4th December 11th December 8th January 15th January.

Refreshments will be provided but please bring a packed lunch.
