The government today launched a \u00a390 million public in\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion cam\u00adpaign providing post-Brexit guid\u00adance, with ad\u00adverts car\u00adry\u00ading a \u2018check, change, go\u2019 strapline, di\u00adrecting peo\u00adple and busi\u00adnesses to an on\u00adline checker tool that will tell them how to pre\u00adpare for the UK leaving the EU in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It comes as more than \u00a3700mil\u00adlion is to be spent on build\u00ading in\u00adfra\u00adstruc\u00adture, hir\u00ading staff and de\u00advel\u00adop\u00ading tech\u00adnol\u00adogy to en\u00adsure bor\u00adder sys\u00adtems are fully op\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtional at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Busi\u00adnesses plan\u00adning to ex\u00adport or im\u00adport to or from the EU will be told to en\u00adsure they have reg\u00adis\u00adtered with the rel\u00ade\u00advant cus\u00adtoms au\u00adthor\u00adity and taken the necessary actions, to prepare for the end of the transition in five months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is critical that businesses understand what their post-transition requirements will be, as the government has advised, ignorance will not be a defence in January 2021, supply chains will simply stall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is in effect the final warning from the government, for business to prepare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
